I look up and see it is full night now. The moon and stars are the only sources of light. They look close enough to touch. “What is this place?” I’m in awe. Until anxiety takes hold of me. What is this place? Nothing normal. “I need to get back home.”
Standing up I ask the cat, my only companion, “Where did the time go, Moriah?” I hear her voice, but it comes from a distance. I can’t see her. I am alone again.
Definitely not a normal place.
